Story Time 2008

Every year we hold a summer reading program. This year it was held June 12th - July 3rd. It is a very exciting time for the kids! We have a story teller each year, come and read to the kids. This Year was Jinx, hard to tell in costumes. Each day she read over a different subject and dressed for the part. The last day she even had a magic show!!! They had a lot of fun if you can tell by the pictures.
    We also had Cynthia for the pre-school children. She reads with them as well as arts and crafts! The adorable Lady Bugs was done in her Class.
    The summer reading program usually starts the week after school lets out each summer. Its 1 day out of the week for a month. We have a signup sheet prior to the month of the class that is located in the library to get you started. We give out certificates each year to the children who read more than 10 books at the end of the program. Everyone gets a goody bag in the end.
    Still ongoing this year, if a child reads more than 5 books then you can collect a free Ringling Barnum bros. & Bailey circus ticket. The circus comes to town in august, so get them before it’s too late!!!
